Luzianne, Going a Bit More Inland

Baton RougeFrom Rowdy to Rest, we love both in the right measures.

Got up this morning to the smell of breakfast. Brian was a busy bee in the kitchen. My plate was laden down with eggs, bacon and toast. This vegetarian was sorely tempted to eat the bacon because it smelled “oh so good” but I refrained and Han happily removed it from my plate. lol

We visited a little while longer, packed the car, bunches of hugs later then Willie Nelson’s song began playing in my head “On The Road Again”, no not really, but it sure should be our theme song at this time.

We will definitely be back soon, but excited to see my daughter, son-in-law and two of my eight grand kids.

Arrived at daughters home in Zachary LA about 2:00pm, in the middle of the boonies for sure, and I was so excited to see everyone. Han had yet to meet Steve (Maranda’s husband) and we all took turns hugging.

After unpacking and repacking for the thousandth time, Maranda (oldest daughter) and I went out to run some errands.

Then decided buying dinner would be easier, so we stopped by Carlton’s Seafood and bought a huge variety of boudin balls, crawfish, boiled shrimp and even corn. We had a feast and the food went fast. Peeling crawfish is a lot of work for little harvest, but the flavor and taste is perfect Southern Cuisine.

Rest of the night was spent chill-laxing and enjoying each others company.

Sweet kids gave up their bedroom for us. I sincerely appreciate this and giving a huge “thank you” shout-out to my daughter and her hubby for this generous gift of restful, spacious sleep.
