A Michigan Wedding on January 30 is almost guaranteed to be white and on White Lake with dotted fishing tents in the background, it’s a wintery wonderland wedding.
Here’s Wishing Ethan and Lisa a Lifetime of Adventures and Beautiful Memories.
Last time I slept until nearly 11:00am? Maybe my teenage years? Am I turning into Mork? Oh, how awesome that would be! Yes, I rolled out of bed super late.
Today was a flurry of activity in the house with everyone getting ready for Ethan and Lisa’s wedding. (Ethan is my son-in-laws brother). Having only two bathrooms made preparations tricky, but we were all ready with time to spare.
It was fairly warm today at 40 degrees. Really did not even need a jacket. Snow is melting but not getting too excited, since there is a snow storm approaching soon.
The wedding was at 2pm, cocktail hour shortly after, then dinner at 4pm. It was at the Eagles Lodge, right on White Lake in Whitehall MI. Many people attended and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We did not know many people there, but it was enjoyable to chat with the ones around us.
Han and I left before the dancing began. I was feeling a bit tired and just wanted to head back to the house to relax some in a quiet house.
Once again called it an early night. Went to sleep with heavy heart and thoughts, hoping for the safety of my children and grandchildren as they travel west from Michigan to Washington State on Tuesday, because there are blizzard conditions expected throughout the entire time they will be traveling. The winter storm is named Kayla and forecasted to be a doozy, coming down for a direct hit right.
The kids are having to drive two vehicles, and do not have the luxury of waiting until it stops, since my son-in-law has to report to his military station by the 9th Thank goodness they will have two extra adults with them to take turns driving.
