Literally Chilling Out in Michigan

the right directionPast couple of days have been spent having fun times with family and seeing the sights. Our mutual children (my youngest daughter being one of them) and three grandchildren are here before they transition to Washington State. (military relocation).

The kids (ages 4, 3 & 1) keep us busy and laughing.

We were in time to celebrate our youngest grandchild’s 1st birthday too. She is everyone’s little dolly, even her siblings dote on her.

We went to Meijer’s store, it is a northern store that is comparable to a Super Walmart. Han and I rode along with our daughter and three grands. All was a normal shopping day until my husband “Han” realized he had lost his wallet. After searching the van, parking lot area and checking in with the front desk we concluded it was not going to be found or handed in. I had purchased the Coach wallet as a gift for him, he had a debit card and approx 200.00 in it, so it was not an easy loss. It fell out of his pants pocket because he said his jacket pockets were too small. But getting in and out of cars in layers of winter clothing, easily dislocates a wallet, which is what must have happened. After checking his jacket, the wifey (me) showed him the perfect interior pocket where he could have placed it for safe keeping. Just sayin’……

I, along with many other people, may think that a fanny pack is not the look of the season, but with extensive traveling and changing of clothes, it might be your best and safest option.

In any case Whitehall is a beautiful area right on Lake Michigan, and our visit has been quite enjoyable and photo ops have been plentiful so far.

Kim, a friend from Manistee MI, who had been working with us back in Florida, is arriving tonight. She moved to Northern Michigan a couple of years ago. The house will be bursting at the seams but full of love. Does not get any better than this.
